Who is your podologist?

Your podologist has completed the three-year apprenticeship programme offered by the Association of Swiss Podologists (SPV).

In most cantons, medical foot care is subject to healthcare regulations. Your podologist requires the approval of the relevant cantonal health authorities to open a practice.

It is of utmost importance for podologists to remain up to date on both practical and theoretical developments, for they have a central role in national health maintenance.

The SPV works closely with the Swiss diabetes associations in its effort to provide its members with continuing education in the treatment of diabetic feet.
